Letter of appreciation
Dear Madhu maam,
I would humbly like to pen a few words about you and your noble initiative Nitantar Prayas.
MediaTek has been associated with Ms. Madhu Mishra and her associations for over 3
years now, earlier with Udaan (Jan Kalyan Rehab Centre) and now with Nirantar Prayas.
Genuine, sincere and someone who has an honest desire to serve society – this is the best
way you can describe Madhu Maam as she is fondly known!
Madhu mam started the initiative by the name of ‘Nirantar Prayas’ for children with Autism
and neurological disorders.
I have visited their premises multiple times (sometimes even surprise visits) and have
seen them in action closely. These 30-40 children are so well managed. Each child is
engaged in some or the other activity. There are multiple classes, that run depending on
the capability and age of the child. Just like any other school there is discipline and silence
in these classes. Managing autistic children so appropriately does require experience and
expertise.
Beyond day to day classes curriculum, the school makes an effort to give the children a
broader social interaction – They are taken to malls and other recreational places, children
present programs & conduct various events. They even do simulations like being
salesperson in a shop or running a neighborhood cafe to hone their life skills and provide
them with varied experiences. They are provided machinery like to grind flour or make
paper plates. All this goes to show the earnest desire of the school and it’s teachers to
groom the children in every way they can.
I have also had a chance to interact with the children’s parent’s in one such event and was
happy to learn that children are eager to come to school and it is a big relief for parents as
the school engages them for almost half the day which gives these parents an opportunity
to complete other household chores.
I wish Nirantar Prayas and their team of experts all the best for a bright future. I sincerely
wish we could contribute more to their growth.
